New Advocate Training

CASA for Children of Klamath County uses the approved 30-hour National CASA training. We also offer a Peer-Mentor program, where a knowledgeable CASA can help guide a new CASA through their first case.

STEWARDS OF CHILDREN BY DARKNESS TO LIGHT

Learn how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Why is this important? Child sexual abuse is likely the most prevalent health problem children face with some of the worst possible consequences. In fact, 1 in 10 children will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday. This means that whether you work with youth, are a parent, or are simply a member of the community, it is highly likely that someone you know or care for has experienced (or is currently experiencing) child sexual abuse. It's going to happen whether you are prepared to deal with it or not. But the good news is that it can be prevented. For more information on Darkness to Light and their mission, visit d2l.org.
